Description - Services The mission of the University of Louisville Primary Care Center and the University Physicians Associates is to provide quality health care services to patients in the Louisville and Jefferson County area with emphasis on serving the needs of the indigent and underserved populations. The Center offers a full range of primary care and specialty practices. Professional staff includes U of L faculty physicians and residents supported by registered nurses, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, social workers and nutritionists. The Center provides comprehensive services for adults and children in an outpatient setting. Diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions are available. Major emphasis is placed on disease prevention and health promotion, including psychiatry, pediatrics and dentistry. We provide medical care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. Services: Primary Care Services include family practice, geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. Specialty services include dentistry and oral surgery, medical subspecialty psychiatry, ophthalmology, neurology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics and surgery.		Hospital Affiliation(s) The U of L Primary Care Center affiliates with all downtown hospitals. On site pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services are available.
