A Recruitment and Placement Program 

The UK Medical Professions Placement Service (MPPS) was created by the Kentucky state legislature to help health care entities recruit and retain providers. The MPPS focuses on three main areas:  service, candidates, and information.

Service - Expect personalized service from the MPPS. The MPPS makes regular visits to client facilities and communities so we can represent them accurately. There is never a financial obligation for a facility to use our service unless a practitioner who is referred by the MPPS is hired.

Candidates - Our candidates are looking for placement in Kentucky. Most are UK residents, fellows, or alumni, but we also search nationwide for candidates interested in Kentucky practice opportunities. We refer candidates based on qualifications specified by our clients and preferences specified by our candidates.

Information - The MPPS provides assistance throughout the recruitment process by making available information on compensation and benefits packages, recruitment trends, residency lengths and board requirements, loan repayment and scholarship opportunities, determination of community need, recruitment strategy development, screening methods, site visit agendas, and retention strategies. Our non-profit service was formed by the state legislature to help groups reduce the costs and increase the effectiveness of their recruitment programs.
