Description - Services
The Clover Fork Clinic began in August 1970 as a demonstration project under a five-year grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). When the grant ended, the Clinic was successful in becoming self-sufficient and now operates solely on the fees it generates while still providing services on a sliding fee basis. The Clinic is a non-profit community controlled clinic with a board of directors, made up of volunteers from the community. Clover Fork Clinic is dual-licensed as a Primary Care Center and Rural Health Clinic. 
Services:
Primary Medical (Family Practice, Ob/Gyn, Internal Medicine) and Dental Care; Laboratory; X-ray; Pharmacy; Health Education; and, Family Planning.
Location: The Clover Fork Clinic is located in the City of Evarts , which lies along HWY 38 approximately 10 miles east of the City of Harlan .  Clover Fork Clinic is the facility designated to serve the Upper Clover Fork Health Professional Shortage Area and the 30 mile long Clover Fork Valley which extends an additional 20 miles east  beyond Evarts to the Virginia state line.
